§ 01
Premise

Take the lead.

Find the
tenders you can
actually win.

BidHound reads newly advertised UK public tenders, scores each one against your company profile, and lays the strategic groundwork for the ones worth pursuing. Capability fit, milestone plan, exec summary draft, clarification questions, social value commitments. So your hours go on writing the bid, not on deciding whether to.

§ 02
The pain
01 · Portal fatigue

47 new tenders this week. Which 3 matter?

You open Contracts Finder. Then Find a Tender. Then the framework portal. Scroll, tab, copy, paste. By Wednesday you've read everything and read nothing.

02 · Wasted effort

Eight hours on a bid you were never going to win.

You only see it after the rejection email: the incumbent had ten years of sector experience. It was written for them. You spent a weekend writing against a wall.

03 · Weekend gone

Another Sunday evening lost to a spreadsheet.

You opened the laptop at 8pm for one quick read-through. It's now midnight. Half a method statement, a cold cup of tea, and you know exactly how this ends.

§ 03
The shift

The shift

Stop guessing. Start scoring.

BidHound reads every UK public tender the moment it's published and scores it against your services, accreditations, frameworks, and track record, so you know whether it's worth your time before you open the document.

Not a workflow tool. Not another portal. We don't replace your bid writer. We tell them where to focus and put a structured starting point on the table. One feed. Every tender already scored.

The hours you used to waste on losing bids, you spend on the ones you should win.

The outcome

Multiple portals down to 1 inbox, 10 minutes a day.

§ 04
The loop
01
Discover
Every tender from Contracts Finder, Find a Tender, and planning notices lands in your feed, matched against your capabilities, sized against your budget, flagged for deadline fit. No portal hopping. Contracts approaching renewal appear alongside, flagged before the re-tender is advertised.
02
Analyse
Every matched tender comes back already analysed: capability fit, competitive read, and the questions to answer before you commit. It’s done by the time you open your feed, not something you run tender by tender. Your first 20 free, then £49/mo for every match.
03
Decide
Move promising tenders through your pipeline. Dismiss the rest in one click. BidHound learns from every decision, sharpening next week's shortlist. Track a renewal and it joins your pipeline, with its re-tender window on a 12-month timeline.
§ 05

Re-tenders

Re-tenders

See the contract before it's advertised.

Public contracts end on a schedule. The incumbent has known the date for years — everyone else finds out when the notice drops, three weeks before the deadline, against a supplier with all the delivery evidence. BidHound watches the change coming.

Fig. 05
Your matches (40) Whole market (24,000+)

Your renewals radar

Who holds the contract, when it ends, when to move.

Every matched contract approaching its end date, sorted into Act now, Prepare, and Watch. Each row names the incumbent and shows the re-tender window — buyers usually go back to market 3 to 6 months before expiry — so you build the relationship and gather the evidence before the notice ever drops. No published end date? BidHound recovers an estimate from the original tender notice, clearly marked as estimated, and corrects itself if the real date surfaces.

The whole market

Every tracked contract, searchable by incumbent.

One toggle opens the full pool: 24,000+ future-dated UK public contracts on record. Search by buyer, by title, or by the company that holds the contract today. Sizing up a competitor? Type their name and see every public contract they hold — and when each one ends.

Honest answers

Honest answers

Straight answers, before you sign up.

What if I already have a bid writer?+
BidHound doesn't write bids. It tells your writer what to focus on. The team keeps doing the craft. BidHound just stops them burning Friday afternoons on tenders that were unwinnable from the brief.
Will my matches be good from day one?+
Matching is live from day one. A first scored shortlist arrives within a few minutes, then sharpens over the following hour as a deeper analysis completes. Precision tightens as you mark wins and losses through the pipeline, and the system reads your decisions and adjusts what it surfaces.
Where does the data come from?+
Official UK government sources: Contracts Finder, Find a Tender (UK-wide), and planning notices. Continuously fetched, classified, and scored the moment they're published. No scraping, no guesswork, no stale data.
What about Scotland and Wales?+
Scotland is covered: BidHound pulls Scottish tenders directly from Public Contracts Scotland, including below-threshold notices, alongside England, Northern Ireland and UK-wide coverage via Contracts Finder and Find a Tender. Wales (Sell2Wales) is on the roadmap — Find a Tender already carries all above-threshold Welsh notices in the meantime.
How accurate is the scoring?+
Each tender is classified against your full profile (services, accreditations, frameworks, past work), then sharpened by the winners and losers you mark. You'll always see the breakdown behind a score (capability, budget, deadline, track record), not just the number. The more signal you feed it, the tighter the shortlist gets.
Can BidHound show me contracts before they're advertised?+
Yes — that's the Renewals view. BidHound tracks 24,000+ live public contracts approaching their end date, matched against your profile and sorted by how soon the buyer is likely to re-tender (usually 3 to 6 months before expiry). Each row names the incumbent who holds the contract today. Where a buyer never published an end date, we recover an estimate from the original tender notice and mark it clearly as estimated. You can also flip to the whole market and search every tracked contract by buyer, title, or incumbent.
How much does BidHound cost?+
Start free, no card: the full scored feed, the daily digest, and your first 20 graded analyses free — each with its letter grade, win read, and the evidence behind it. After 20 it locks: your feed pauses, and you keep everything you’ve already saved in your Pipeline. We’ll still email you a weekly count of the new matches you’re missing, and subscribing starts everything again. The £49/month plan analyses every match, unlimited. Cancel anytime. Bid managers running several companies have their own plan: from £49/month per company, with £150 covering 3–5 — and your first two client companies are free to try.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. One click from Settings cancels your subscription. No phone calls, no retention emails, no quarterly lock-in. You keep access until the end of your paid period.
Is my profile data secure?+
Your company profile, pipeline, and decisions are scoped to your account and stored on servers in the European Economic Area, which is covered by UK GDPR adequacy rules. We never share profile data between accounts; we don't sell or analyse it for any other purpose, and nothing you enter is ever used to train AI models. The full rundown (encryption, backups, sub-processors) is on our security page.
Who's behind BidHound?+
BidHound is run by a small UK team. It started with me, Philip. I'd spent twelve years split between sound design for UK film and TV and software development, until the two crossed over when I built a lead-scanner to find my own freelance work. That tool became BidHound, pointed at UK public tenders. We keep things deliberately small, which means every email, feature, and bug fix gets a direct human reply. No call centre, no ticket queue.
Are you affiliated with other companies called BidHound?+
No. BidHound is a UK company focused exclusively on UK public sector tenders. We have no affiliation with other companies of similar names operating in other markets.

Your clients' data+

You're entering client information into BidHound, so here's exactly where it goes — in plain English, with the full documents behind every claim.

  • Never used to train AI. Nothing you or your clients enter trains any AI model — ours or anyone else's. Our AI provider's commercial terms exclude it contractually.
  • Matching runs on our own hardware. The models that rank tenders against each client's profile are operated by us, on infrastructure we control — client profiles are never sent to a third-party AI for matching.
  • Deep analysis is redacted first. Personal details (emails, phone numbers, postcodes) are stripped before anything reaches our AI provider — and the company name is never included.
  • Every client is a sealed workspace. Nothing entered for one company ever influences, or is visible to, any other account — including their competitors.
  • Stored in the EEA, under UK GDPR. Encrypted nightly backups, no data brokers, no trackers, no selling — ever.
  • A DPA you can forward to your clients. Full processor terms, sub-processor list and breach commitments, published for anyone to read.
